Viktor Orban Calls for Increased Voter Participation in Key Election

(MENAFN) Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called for increased voter participation as he cast his ballot in Sunday's crucial election. Speaking to reporters in Budapest, Orban emphasized, "The more we are, the better it will be." When asked about his expectations, he confidently stated, "I am here to win."

The prime minister reflected on the government's achievements but acknowledged the need for faster progress on key issues. He expressed satisfaction with the level of support his party had garnered thus far.

Orban underscored the importance of election campaigns, describing them as valuable moments to engage with voters directly. "This election is a celebration of democracy, and its integrity is guaranteed here in Hungary," he said. He also praised Hungary’s electoral system, calling it "the most reliable in Europe."

While expressing gratitude to his supporters, Orban committed to respecting the election outcome, promising to congratulate his opponent, Peter Magyar, if he emerges victorious. "The will of the people must be respected," he emphasized.

Orban noted the multiple crises Europe is currently facing, including challenges in energy, finance, and the economy. He stressed that "strong national unity" is essential to navigating these difficult times.
